Kids’ dentistry is available from when a first tooth begins to erupt until your child turns 18 years old. By protecting your kids’ teeth in their formative years, you will ensure your children have a healthy smile for life.
Why Kids’ Dentistry Is Different
Kids have different needs to adults and must see a dentist trained in dental pediatrics, which requires an extra two or three years of schooling. A pediatric dentist understands a child’s needs, from baby teeth to teen years, and has a gentle manner with even the most nervous of patients. At our clinic, you will notice we are set up to receive younger patients to ensure visiting the dentist is a fun experience and never a stressful event.
Kids’ Dental Services
Oral hygiene instruction
We teach kids proper brush technique and other oral hygiene habits. They also receive diet recommendations to avoid decay and gum disease.
Emergency services
Kids are more likely to suffer an accident than adults, especially children who are active and enjoy playing sports. Our 24-hour emergency services are available to your children to increase the chances we can save a damaged or knocked-out tooth.
Preventive care
It is better to prevent accidents from happening in the first place. Your kids can receive custom-made mouth guards to use during sports. Our custom mouth guards are comfortable and offer optimal protection. Each mouthguard is designed using an impression of the child’s teeth. You can return to our clinic at any time to receive adjustments.
Another type of preventive care we offer is dental sealants. This thin coating applied to your children’s molars will prevent decay for up to 10 years. This is particularly useful for kids aged 6 to 11, who are at a higher risk of suffering from cavities.
